We’re still unable to meet together in person due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation. But we’ve been trying a variety of different services and ways of meeting together virtually, and we’re ready to start settling towards a pattern. Many thanks for bearing with us.
The current plan is for all our main services to be hosted at live.stjudes.church – our online portal kindly provided by the folks at online.church. You don’t need to log on, or to have any social media accounts to be able to use it. There’s also a chat room alongside the service, which allows those who want to to catch up with each other and share news.
On Easter Sunday itself, we’re joining in with the national “Sing Resurrection” initiative, which calls on Christians across the country to go outside (or put their head out of their window) at 10am and sing two classic Easter songs. We’ll provide a backing track for you on our live site! After that, we’ll have one morning service, with a mixture of traditional and modern worship.
We’re also planning on having quite a few midweek events. Obviously, there are specific midweek services on the high days of Holy Week, which will be at live.stjudes.church, but we are currently also doing events at 9am on most week days in the church Facebook group – often some form of Morning Prayer.
During Holy Week, we’ll be doing special reflections on the story of the week running from the first Palm Sunday to the first Good Friday.

Safeguarding is a priority at St. Jude’s.
Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life. If you have any concerns about safeguarding please telephone the church office (number at the foot of each page) or contact the diocese safeguarding office.
